Iodine is powerful, and more is not better. The thyroid is sensitive to it, and self-dosing can cause problems, especially if you already have a thyroid concern. If you have any thyroid condition, or you take thyroid medication, do not start on your own. Speak to your doctor and let them guide your dose. This is a traditional iodine supplement, not a treatment for any thyroid or medical condition, and never a replacement for your doctor’s care.

Not sure if potassium iodide is right for you, or how iodine fits with what you already take? You do not have to guess. Anita, the natural-health practitioner behind Guiding Truth in Nelspruit, knows the whole range and is glad to help you choose. Send her a message and a real person, not a call centre, will help you find the product that fits. She does not diagnose or prescribe, so for anything to do with your thyroid or any condition she will always point you to your doctor first.
